dryadella zebrina grow information

Hi everyone,
I wasn't sure where I should post my question, so if I'm asking it in the wrong forum, I apologize.

I have been browsing online orchid vendor sites today looking for a low light mini orchid to sit under a table lamp in my foyer. I have a grow light in the lamp and it's light output is from 700-1200 fc, depending on the height of the plant, of course. There is an approx. 40-50% humidity level in the room and the room temperature is approx. 75 degrees. I found an orchid that I especially liked, but I haven't been able to locate any care info for it so I don't know if it would be suitable for this area or not. It is a mini dryadella zebrina. Do any of you have this orchid? If so, I would appreciate it if you can tell me what it's growing requirements are.

You would grow it like you grow your Masdevallias and Pleuros. They normally grow in the damp forests in Brazil or Peru. You need to maintain high humidity (70%). They will also appreciate regular and constant temperatures with a range of between 55-60F at night to a daytime high of 75 to 80F. You potting media will need to maintain a constant moisture as well. Hope this helps!

My problem would be the humidity in the room, as far as the dryadella zebrina goes, so I'll just have to re-think my situation and try to come up with another orchid. I was thinking maybe a jewel orchid ??

While I'm on the subject of humidity......If you have the time, and don't mind, I would appreciate it if you will clue me in on how beneficial you think humidity trays are. The thought crossed my mind about maybe using a more decorative pebble dish for humidity under the orchid I end up choosing for my foyer, but I don't know how helpful they really are. I have read that many people use them, but I have also read that they are of little benefit.

People use humidity trays with some measure of success. Since I grow in a greenhouse, my humidity tray is the gravel floor, but during the winter months, I have often sprayed the gravel floor to raise the humidity level in the GH to battle the heater drying everything out. I also use an actual humidity tray on some tropical plants that I grow in my bedroom window.

Anyone else, thoughts?

I have 1 cattleya in bark in my south window that I have a humidity tray under. I used glass marbles for the pebbles and find that the humidity tray filled to between 3/8 and 1/2 inch of water needs to be refilled twice a week, sometimes 3 times a week. Depends on how warm the windowsill gets, sunny or cloudy days.I often find condensation on the glass window b in front of the orchid, so the tray must be increasing humidity in the immediate area.
