Ah the "joy" of common names vs scientific names.Ana Patricia, you are quite correct that some folks refer to these as 'Christmas cacti'. However, there are those folks who make a distinction between the two types -- though both are types of Schlumbergera. Then just to make life more confusing, these cacti are also sometimes called 'Easter cacti', which is actually Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri . For those who are interested in learning more, here's a link:
