Love those clouds of blooms. I'm kicking myself for passing up a lovely shill last time I was in south FL. Well, there's always next time. Great pics as always, Nelson.

Both of those species are great! Keep posting as they bloom, Nelson - I'll never grow tired of looking at your photos!

When one has a number of plants, he begins to notice the variability, giving character to each one.
The schilleriana for example almost always has recurved floral parts. The stuartiana on the other hand seems to have blooms that have wavy floral parts; these are the recurved type. The blooms that do not show the wavy character are less recurved, have larger red-brown dots, and the blooms seem to cluster together rather than go into a dropped spray.
Gerald,
How do I know to find the stuartiana with the wavy petals? Are there certain clones or do you just have to take your luck on the draw? I really like the wavy recurved petals in the photo anyway vs. the type that does not drop the spray elegantly. I had a stuartiana years ago and had 54 flowers on it and now I am hoping to find another one to grow on again. They are among my most favorite phals if not the favorite so far. Thanks.
My two favorite! Beautiful pictures Nelson. Do you have a website with your orchid pictures?
