Dendrobium Arrangement

Here's some NOID dendrobiums plus some white and red Oncidium Twinkles that were blooming at the same time.
So I decided to put them all together as one arrangement.
The lighting was not great since the sun was beginning to set when I took the pictures.

Red Oncidium Twinkle at the bottom (This one had at least 10 spikes for me this year):


White Oncidium Twinkle (5 spikes this year).



Total Materials Cost: $68.00
*Wood basket: $1.50
*Dendrobium 1: Originally purchased for $13.00 from a BBS.
*Dendrobium 2: Originally purchased for $13.00 from a BBS.
*Oncidium Twinkles (White and Red): Gifts from Katie (Desertgal). Valued at about $20.00 each.
*Twigs and moss for additional effect: Free - my wife had a bunch of arts supplies (valued at about $.50)

Similar arrangements from big name flower shops would charge from $200-$300, the only difference is they put their orchids on "plant-killer" glazed ceramic pots.

I do like it!! Very nice and even more so knowing you bloomed all of those and did the arrangement yourself. I am glad to see Katie's gift oncidiums doing so well. I wish she could see how nice they look too.

I think I brought the dendrobiums indoors too soon.
The closed buds are blasting

I usually wait until the final flower has opened before moving them indoors.
