    Default Paphiopedilum NOID Rebloom

All of my grocery store bought last year Paphiopedilum noids have survived and thrived. First a group glamor shot in the manner of the IOS show:

Next, noid #1 (my first Paphiopedilum)

The spent inflorescence had a seed pod which I'd let mature and burst to see what it was like.

    Default Paphiopedilum noid #4

Noid #4 is a multifloral. The first original segment still has a budded inflorescence. This is the second segment.

I really like the form and colors on this one too. These all live in a unobstructed north windowsill.

excellent group of Paphs... great to hear they have enjoyed their new home and have rewarded your care.

i like the second one better this flowering... i remember the petals weren't so flat the last time.

They're gorgeous! I like the way they grow, without any support? Flames, coloratums, vini's and a Pinnoccio-style hybrid, if I'm correct. Quite a collection. I like #1 best: it's so perky.

Those are cool, Joe! You keep growing like that and you will have to add paphs to your Favorite orchid(s) list in your profile. LOL! I really like the one in the second photo (your first paph.) It is such a great looking slipper.

    Cheers,
    BD

Great Paphs! From a grocery store???? I am so jealous!!!! BD is right--you seem to be doing really well with Paphs.

I love vinis, and also ones with warts & hairs. As a result, it's probably not too tough to guess that NOID #2 is my favourite!

Question--Is there any reason why the "Pinocchio style hybrid" (NOID #4) isn't actually the species primulinum, rather than a hybrid? Any "real" Paph-heads feel free to tell me why it can't be--it would be a good learning experience.

    Cheers,
    Rob
