That's a nice one. I am surprised you were able to obtain a labeled plant, where you are.
She's beautiful!!
a beauty Ron...now to fix your tag...It is Mokara Bota Gold "Orange"
Absolutely beautiful color! Well done!
Tags are done by
Genus or intergeneric name capitalized.
That is followed by species or registered name of cross. If species it is in lower case, if a registered cross then the name is capitalized.
Then in apostrophes come any clonal name, which would also be capitalized.
That is followed by any award designation that has been given to that clone with a slash and the abbreviation of the organization that gave the award. (ie. FCC/AOS)
If a cross has not been registered than tag reads with the intergeneric name followed by the parents in brackets. ie: Mokara (Arachnis hookeriana X Ascocenda Duang Porn) It is proper convention that the seed parent get's listed first in this situation, followed by the pollen parent. The above is the cross for your plant. One could also use the abbreviations for the Mokara, Ascocendra and Arachnis.
So your tag would then read:
Mokara Bota Gold 'Orange'
Mokara is the Intergeneric name
Bota Gold is the registered cross name
Orange must be the clonal name. There are other clones of this cross for I see 'Pink' as being a clone of this cross as well.
Guess you would either need a new, blank one to do...you can always use the back of yours if it is not printed with the grower info.
Don't know nothing about the tag, but she is GORGEOUS!
