Prince, my Congo African Grey

I've had him for about 5-6 years now, he was a second hand birdie. He was a major plucker when I first got him and his chest was almost bald. He stilll plucks every now and then even with a minor change in his environment (common problem with Greys). He likes to be scratched and loves nibbling on my fingers and regurgitate and try to feed me when I get close to his cage. He talks a lot (sometimes I wish they have an off button) and is also bilingual (english and our dialect in the Philippines) and can imitate everybody's voice with accent....lol.

He is in beautiful feather now! I used to raise and breed both Pionus and Yellow Nape Amazon parrots. I had no idea what amazing companions birds are until my first Pionus. I was sold in about 30 seconds!!

Sometimes they can get annoying...lol, everytime I call my son they always answer (I have 2 African Greys but the other one that my Aunt gave to me is not tame the way my son answers and even answer the phone when it rings imitating my Mom's voice.

Amazons are great talkers too but I heard very temperamental when they get older and ready to breed. I have 3 birds, 2 greys and a lovebird and yes they are amazing. I can even walk my dog with the lovebird hanging in his back.

Right, he can curse in Kapampangan also...lol. One of my brothers in Pampanga had parakeets before, I even sent him a cage. I don't know what happened, they probably dead by now.

hi marissa...i love greys! i have a conure and i wish that she had an off button sometimes too! she doesnt "speak" but she can surely make tons of noise if she is ever in the mood for attention and isnt getting it! Your bird is beautiful!
