    Default Margarita and Connie go to the greenhouse

    I was very excited to meet a fellow member of OrchidTalk today. She is up from the Ft. Lauderdale area and we met up and went to one of my favorite greenhouses. Hopefully when she gets a chance she'll add her pictures to mine of her haul. I have always wanted a chance to meet someone from our website...today was so much fun! For once I had someone to talk with that is just as orchid crazy as I am. And my greenhouse friend met a fellow flasker, and sent Margarita home with some supplies and advice on flasking.

    First; a picture of the first greenhouse. The second one pretty much looks the same as this one....

    This maxima will be something to see, it has 8 sheaths!...that i've found so far, every time I count I find another one!

    I found a copy of my no name encyclia and ended up acquiring another no name.

    There were a couple more...I found a L. Anceps cross that is in bud...i'll post that one when it blooms. I also found a nice dendrobium that will bloom out pink someday soon. lol I definitely had a good time today.

    Thanks for posting the pics so quick!!! I only got a few min. to log in and got to show them to my husband (esp. my box while still looking good... yep they got little burn while we were having fun... forgot to cover the back window so my dend will not bloom for sure and will see how many of the catts I didnt bake)

    it sure looked like fun!
    when i saw the first pix of the greenhouse, i thought it was something like the "before and after" thing, and im surprised you guys left some plants behind, especially margarita with her wishlist, lol.

    I looked at your picture and there is a couple slight color differences, but the shape is right on...i'm guessing they are kissing cousins!
