    Default Phal Newberry Parfait "Picotee"

This is a re-spike because I was trying to grow a keiki but got a spike instead. I believe this is because I applied the keiki paste during cool temperatures. Even though the instructions say to apply about a week after the last flower opens, I have read that temperature has a greater affect on keiki production (ORCHIDS JANUARY 2007 WWW.AOS.ORG) (Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol. 57, No. 15, pp. 4043–4049, 2006
doi:10.1093/jxb/erl176 Advance Access publication 30 October, 2006). The flowers are on the small side for this plant and only 4 of them when usually the spike is lined with flowers....

Oh, that's beautiful! I got one weeks ago, it just started to spike, can't wait!

Can't get to the article, do I need membership to view it? I am interested as a lot of phal gives me keiki instead of spike, and I want SPIKE.
