Cool! thanks a lot for the info. I would have been curious too since I recently got a orbea variegata. Is this one stinky? And do you know if it is possible to bloom these under artificial lighting?
I would suspect that the orbea will be "fragrant," Fren, as it is also known as the "African carrion flower" but H. zebrina is not. As to blooming under lights, I don't see why not. Just as with orchids, it will be a matter of determining just how much artificial light they will need. My Huernia is located by a SW facing glass door and receives no other lighting.
