Bc Moon Miss 'Lunar Dawn and other cattleya orchids

I have two nice catts and an epicatt in bloom now. The pink catt is Bc Moon Miss 'Lunar Dawn.' The red catt is C Ford Motte 'Cherokee x Blc Younges Island 'Mr. 1.' The epicatt, sometimes called the stoplight orchid is Epc. Rene Marques 'Tyler.'

I've had the epicatt and the red catt for a couple of years now and both seem to bloom reliably for me. I just picked up the pink catt at our last local orchid society meeting.

Wow these are all very nice, the Rene Marques looks especially healthy. How many blooms a year do you get out of the catts?

The red catt and the rene marques bloom once a year. I just got Moon Miss, so I'm not sure. However it currently has another sheath on a newer growth, so it might bloom twice a year. It's an intermediate sized plant, not a mini, not a big one. Forget what that size is called. Old-age brain fart, more of those every year. The red one would probably be larger if I had a greenhouse.

All are so beautiful! L especially love the Rene Marques. I have Rene Marques Flame Thrower that is currently in sheath but very slow in developing. Perhap I am just being impatient since I am so fond of this orchid and I lost last years sheath. I think I lost ir because I gave it a shower once a week and was growing it in an East window. This year I have it in a South window and it gets no showers--LOL.The sheath looks healthy and the plant has sent out a very healthy new growth that has grown quickly. Hope mine blooms as well as yours. Yours is really lovely. Perhaps if I get mine blooming I will buy your variety. i really like it very much. Thanks for sharing all the pics. Bill
