    Default Masdevallia Orange Glow

Big flowers about 3 cm across. This is an interesting flower to view. Looking at it straight on, it appears vivid orange, but viewed from different angles or in different lighting shades of purple appear. I love Masdies!

That's very nice! Do you have pics from other angles?

It reminds me of a new acquisition of mine, a blooming (Copper Angel x Peach Fuzz), which I have totally failed to take a picture of. I should get on that. It doesn't have the neat purple color change thing going on, though.

I see the fuzzies ! Very nice. I have a massie that is blooming from an old spike....do they do this ? I never cut the spike and it stayed green and formed a bud off the end after several months....
Also, I LOVE the froggie picture in your avatar ! Is that you holding it? Is it a tree frog ?

    Thanks for the nice comments.

Traci - they aren't really that bad once you figure out what to grow them in under your conditions, what kind of light they want, and get used to the idea of lots of clean water. I have to water every day - sometimes twice a day.

Mine has been in constant bloom as you described since last summer.
