I got a Calanthe and it bloomed. (see pic) Plant has big leaves and I think it is forming a new corm. How many times a year can the Calanthe bloom?

If this one is not hybrids might be it's Calanthe rubens, usually it's bloom once a year after the pseudobulb become mature. Very nice flowrs.
I agree with Zain, it's a Calanthe rubens.
I have this at home, flower colors are variable from peach, white, violet, pink, and yellow.
It is easy to grow but needs perfect drainage (avoid overwatered) so the pseudobulbs won't rot.
