Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) blooming

Never seen one of those in bloom before. Not very impressive LOL Interesting how green the flower is. How moist does this need to be kept, Jeff?

I've toyed with trying it in my terr but understand getting a 'chigger' free plant is not necessarily easy

Mine bloomed once a while back (and never again) and I remember that it smelled really good and pretty strong for such a tiny flower, towards the end of the day.

Didn't know it has fragrance. I will have to smell the flowers when mine blooms again.

I didn't realize that either. And for some reason, I thought ours had a white bloom?? Maybe it was green...

I got mine when someone used it as packing material to ship plants. It just hangs on hooks in the greenhouse and gets misted daily. I hang it in the shade house all summer and mist it with the orchids. It's now 3 huge clumps and never stops growing.

I had no idea that spanish moss was a Tillandsia! I have never seen it bloom before either, but it is scarce in Montana.
