This plant came in yesterday with one leaf almost totally black and a few black spots on other leaves. The pictures of it three days ago before it was shipped showed all of the leaves green and healthy looking. It was in a 2.5 inch pot and was still in sphagnum moss from when it was a seedling. *sigh* I spent two hours digging all of the moss out of the roots, and trimming them back. I repotted it. There was a good deal of healthy roots and none of them had any black spots. The person who sent it to me says it looks like a bacterial infection to him and I should throw it away. The black part is not mushy, there is no odor. The new growth looks healthy. It is naturally in quarantine until I decide what to do with it. What do you guys think?
