How Long can orchids take high heat in a shade house?

I live in TN, It is hot here, real hot. I have about 15 orchids on my front porch, in a shade house, (east side) Phal, Dem. It been in the low 90's for about 4 days and it not looking like it's going to get any better, They look good, lots of new growth, how long can they take this heat ????

I believe some orchids can take up to 90-100 f degrees as long as there is enough humidity and air circulation =) but i'm not sure if this is correct.

I have a fan blowing on them, and i have been misting them in the morning before i leave for work. My son will mist them around noon and i will mist them around 4 when i get home.

I'd be worried about the phal. Now if they are Laelia anceps or renantheras, then I wouldn't be worried.

you should also put all of your orchids on top of humidity trays so you can raise the humidity and wetting the floor around your orchids also help.

We have 70 to 90% humidty here right now, when you out side it feel like you are walkin in to a oven.

well 70% humidity is good but if its 90%, make sure there is enough air circulation =)

They are all comeing in side for a few days until this heat wave moves on, 94 today and 97 on monday. Did YALL know it HOT here.

its been between 88-92 degrees in colorado for the past few weeks and i have left my orchids outside with w fans blowing on them plus they are on a humidity tray and they get misted in the morning and they have about 70% humidity and they seem to be doing fine

Mine live outside in a lathe house and have high heat and humidity about 9 months out of the year. Just have to keep an eye out for fungus.
