Pollination: Brassolaeliocattleya 'Rustic Spots'

Hi,

I have my Brassolaeliocattleya 'Rustic Spots' (a hybrid of Cattleya Landate x Brassolalia Richard Mueller) blooming, and would like to do the pollination. However, the spice on this thing is, that I never did pollination with orchids before, only with a few other plants (Capsicum and Cucurbiteae).

I would need some good advise. Thanks.

Now my question is, how to remove the pollinia from the anther (locules). The anther is already separated from the blossom, but I find it difficult to get out the pollinia.

Well, not sure if the genetic pool is related enough, but I want to try the pollination between Potinara 'Haw Yuan Gold YK #2' and the Brassolaeliocattleya 'Rustic Spots'.

Pollination done, now the blossoms of all my orchids are (very unfortunately closing, and I hope they are "pregnant" now...

India? A quite interesting country, culturally, historically, botanically and delicately. I know, India is the home of the famous Bhot Jolokia hot pepper (wished I could buy the seeds here in Jamaica, but not possible - no one sells them, they even don't know about this famous chili pepper).

One of my other interests is maritime archaeology. I am trying to find ancient Indian resources showing ancient Indian ship types. Very hard to find. I have only a black-white illustration of the Ajanta ship.
