Orchid Needs ID - Flickingeria scopa?

Cheers,

got this a few months back, and it was a huge clump. I decided to divide it to
fit my grow area and got 2 smaller clumps, and the smaller of the 2 always
produces buds but i always failed to see the blooms so i bet it doesnt last
long. This weekend, I saw that the bigger of the 2 has lots of buds.... from
then on I always take a good look at it. And this morning I got a nice surprise,
the buds finally opened. I had to bring it indoors to photograph it as its raining
outside.

Anyways I hope someone can ID this, i think it may be flickengeria not sure tho.
Flowers are mildly fragrant.

yes correct, its a f. scopa.
show last only 3 hours or so, but what a show! i found em very fragrant and one of my favorites!
just wonder why yours grows upside down? usually not.

Ah thanks for confirming Ron... I knew that the flowers dont last long thats why when I
saw this open I immediately grab the camera. When I came home this evening, I took
another look and the blooms have started to fade. But i think its well worth it, look at the
lips on this one? and fragrant to boot. I have mounted it pendant in a slab. I have
another one, I think another Flickingeria, now I just need to catch it in bloom.

Beautiful, especially like hairy lip. It's a real pitty that so beautiful flowers do not last longer.

Thanks guys, truly a magnificent specie although the flowers dont last long it makes up for
the beauty of it.
