Phal. braceana x venosa

Recently got this small primary hybrid.
It arrived with perky leaves but much of the root system was rotted/dried out.
I've repotted to give more airflow and retain less water.

Anyone know what sort of culture braceana or venosa have?
Should I mount it? Are miniatures often better mounted?

Thanks for any advice! Apparently it has bloomed twice (two tiny dried spikes) and smells like beef jerky according to the vendor!

I have venosa, but not braceana. The venosa grows along with the rest of my Phals with no special culture requirements. I think mounting or not depends on your preference and conditions. I have heard that mounting the braceana species is recommended, but it is not necessary for venosa (I don't do mounted plants).

It must have inherited the fragrance from venosa. Venosa typically has a kind of strange "smokey" fragrance. Mine smells just like charcoal briquettes.

After seeing the photos at the links Mitch posted, I too am intrigued to see how this one will bloom out. Regarding potting - it looks pretty happy just like it is to me.
