Talking Catasetum pileatum 'Icy Green' in bloom

I posted pictures of this catasetum last year. I am posting the latest blooming because I think this time the blooms look better.

Cstm pileatum has probably the biggest flowers measuring 3 ins across. The lip is waxy and has very thick substance. This variety is named 'Icy Green' for very obvious reasons. I have another pink variety which should bloom soon.

Yew, That Icy Green is simply beautiful! Your close ups are great. Thanks for letting us enjoy some of your orchids! I'm looking forward to seeing the pink one, too. Betty :-)

    Beautiful.

I have a similar plant which is also developing its spike now. One thing I've observed about this plant is that it has been a faithful bloomer and so easy to care for.
