    Default Macroclinium revisited

Much to my surprise, the original blooming spike I posted back in June is still in bloom. Considering how delicate the flowers are, I had not expected them to last this long. A second spike is also in bloom -- actually has been for about 2 weeks now. So at the risk of boring you gentle folk, here are some more pics...............

Paul, they will spike again and again from the old spike. Don't cut them off unless they are dead/brown.

Some species from this genus can be short-lived though.

@Tom: How big does a plant need to be before it flowers? I bought manabinum this year: it has multiple fans, the largest is less then 1/2" in diameter

Lars, your plant should be a blooming size plant. They normally bloom on a single growth/fan.

Paul, thank you for posting this. It really is under appreciated genus.

That is fantastic - no way to bore with something that beautiful.

    Cheers,
