    Default Chalice Vine

I got a cutting of this beautiful flower last year at our Garden tour. I planted the rooted cutting and to my surprise got a bloom almost a year later. The Bloom is about 6" tall and 3" wide.

That is cool! How does the vine grow? Is it winter tough?

    Cheers,

Sorry BD it is a tropical vine that needs support, Southern Living Garden book says that it grows rampant and is sprawling but mine have been much more timid, we will see in their second year.

I thought as much. Hopefully when I reach retirement age, I can move somewhere tropical and grow my orchids and tropical plants outside.

    Cheers,

It is a pretty cool thing to do, We just put 10 bare roots on the live oak yesterday, now if the squirrels will just leave them alone........
