Joaquim roots changing color

I just bought this and after it arrived I noticed some of the roots looked different. When I water the plant these roots changed color to a reddish looking color. I see green roots here and there but mostly these red ones. Is this okay or is there a problem??

Can't help you much, Connie. I have seen roots of other orchids turn reddish when exposed to higher light levels but I don't do vandas.

Maybe if i'm lucky it's' decided to percolate some flower color and i'll get buds soon. Of course...it's a vanda....i'm more likely to be abducted by aliens than get a real vanda to flower. But...don't tell it that. lol The other's seem to like it here...maybe i'll get lucky.
