Help Ordered a orchid and it does not look happy!

I just ordered this mini mark orchid and was expecting a orchid in a more vigorous state to arrive. I hope i can nurse it back to health.
I attached some pictures so hopefully that will help dignose any underlying problems.
The leaves are wrinkly limp and very dark with some reddish tones. Some leaves have holes in and around the leaf.

Looks pretty beat up. How was it packed? How cold is it where you live?

It seemed as tho it was packed well. Its mid forties where i live but it was overnighted with a heat pack and like i said lots of packing material.

It seems like this plant was neglected before the shipping... just looking for some ideas on helping it

Contact that vendor on the phone and email him/her the photos of this orchid. Do it right away. They need to replace this plant. You will probably be able to keep this one as well, but they may request you send it back. Either way, you need a new - healthy - plant. Any vendor worth doing business with will replace this instantly - especially if it was overnighted.

No vendor who wants repeat business would ship you a plant in that condition. Please keep it away from your other orchids in the event that it is also infected with pests.

Just my 2 cents....

As for caring for this one. If the vendor doesn't want it back, remove all potting medium from its roots. Remove the lower big leaf with the most damage. Check for spider mites under the leaves (the pitted holes on the leaves could be spider mite damage or cell collapse from cold.) If you find mites, use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel and clean the leaves, top and bottom very well.

Next, if the roots are good, you can repot in your choice of medium. If the roots are very damaged, post a photo and let us take a look for recommendations.

Yes they all look that way for some reason. We have brought in a bunch this past spring and all of them looked this way so we are not sure if it is just the way this hybrid or clone grows or what. It may have been just the importing process that stressed the plants. The flowers bloom as normal though. I would let the plant flower and watch it through spring.
