It should flower in this or the next season. Looks big enough and healthy, but it all depends on the genetics. What the parents of this vanda are will influence a lot.
I agree with Amey you need to wait just a matter of time it will bloom.Vanda coerulea in the wild will bloom when the stem more than13 cm.Give more light eventually it's will reward you, be patient.Zain
How much more light? It get about 5 hours of afternoon sun. Should I just put it in direct sunlight all day? I could move it to a spot where it would get no morning or afternoon light and just direct sun during the mid day. I had alot of dendrobiums and have the greatest spot for them! This is my first so I have no idea what I'm doing.
I'd like to se the roots. Spanish moss is ornamental , but does it help the orchid ?
I remember the first time I showed a plant on the members display table of my first orchid society, and I was so proud of all the ferns and things growing on the surface - so natural I thought ; and the experienced grower - dead these past very many years I expect - said, "young man, you have to decide - are you growing ferns ? if so , throw out this orchid ; or are you growing orchids ? If so, throw out the ferns - you can't do well with both in one pot."
Advice I usually follow.
Thank you everyone for the response to my questions. Here is a close up of the vanda's roots. I believe that they are really happy. I will take out the spanish moss (or as we call it in Hawaii Pele's Hair). So what do you think?
Our vandas here in Arkansas are grown at the very top of the greenhouse under 52% shade cloth; they get alot of light and love it. You are in Hawaii, so I am not sure how bright the sunlight is there this time of the year, but would caution against full sun without first a gentle test. I would hate for you to burn this beautiful plant.
Cheers,

I just thought that I would share. I did move the Vanda into a more sunny spot, and got rid of most of the spainish moss, and tadan, SPIKE!
