I can't say that the cross is any improvement on either parent - Chiangmai Gold is in my collection now ( usually flowers September and March) and has larger clearer yellow flowers ; Bangkhuntien Gold I had many years ago, and I remember it as smaller flowered but very free flowering - over 20 flowers on a spike , which is amazing for an Ascda in England.
Looks likely to be about 16-17 here, if and when... and if the plant is not upset too much by being taken out of its greenhouse, and remaining in a spare bedroom while all my show entries are cleaned up, tied up and generally prettied for the Bournemouth OS Show on Saturday - it will be out of the greenhouse for a week perhaps before it is back in place, and maybe the flowers will just stop growing this time. Whatever, its a risk one has to take.
