Weird Much?

Browser Beware! Shes a heavy one! full of pictures

This past week almost (thu-mon) we have been living it rough in the NZ wilderness....ok maybe not wilderness, but close enough

While rumaging and tramping through the bush, i encountered ORCHIDS! YAY! Everyones favorites and a pile of fungi native to NZ and some rare too......

Amoung that i got to shoot a 22' rifle, and i found i have perfect aim too! and also went and found a 30yr old Vauxhaul somewhere in the middle of a huge gully!

Orchids-
1-2 My take-home Earina sp either aestevalis or autumnalis
3-4 Drymoanthus adversus in situ

Some more Earina sp and possibly Winika cunninghamii in situ on Ponga trees

Yet more orchids....this time terrestrial
Acianthus sinclarii (?)

Some of the unusual fugi i encountered....it was a bit like "strange encounters of the 3rd kind" lol

This field Mushroom smelt a bit like Aniseed....




This was just sitting by the Vauxhaul

Some native slime caps....

The green ones are about the size of an NZ10c piece, and the red ones are about the size of a US Dime

my 5yr old cousin, Jacob was VERY proud of his find! so he begged me to put it on here! (and yes, that IS pink nail polish on his fingers! Thank my mother for that-child abuse much!)
