    Default Bulbophyllum Cameronense

A new acquisition indigenous to Cameron Highlands hence the name. Im just praying it will adjust to the heat in the lowlands.

I like that one. Usually I am not a fan of this species. I only own one NOID that is about to bloom. I hope it looks like this one.

That is really beautiful. I managed to literally kill 2 of these. They are so difficult to acclimatise to lowland and high heat. If you really managed to do that, please please, let me know how you do it...

Vincent, I am really worried I will kill it but I didnt pay too much for it so I guess Im not too fearful! Im monitoring it at the moment and thankfully the weather in Ipoh has been very damp and cloudy (although then you start to worry abt the risk of rot and fungal infections! Its a never ending cycle of worry!). If it survives and blooms again I will let you know!

I wish you luck with this beauty Gavin. It likes fairly intermediate conditions, yes? I have been wondering what you can do in a hot humid climate to cool the air and not effectively dry it out to much. That's not going to be easy unless you have refrigerated air conditioning with maybe a humidifier blowing right at the orchid. Not worth it for one orchid unless you had the air on for your own comfort (the expense though). Any way I hope it does well. AL

Sometimes, we may be able to train it to acclimatise to the lowland conditions (which Im hoping to do), air conditioning is not practical as Id probably wind up bankrupt by the end of the year through paying my electricity bill. Im just thinking that I may take it to the office as we have a small internal courtyard with a man made waterfall and the dampness and coolness coupled with the air circulation may be good for the plant.

Looks like the B.lobbiii group . I find they do sulk a bit from time to time - maybe they need their rest which I don't give.
