How to get more orchid roots on dendrobium

I have quite 2 Dendrobium Kingianum (I think) which are needed to repot as they had some damages in their roots and got many death roots. Then I decided to cut off some death roots and took some keikei out and then grew them in a few small pots. The 2 parent plants that I needed to cut almost roots and also I put it back in their pots with some new orchid mix. Until now, it's over quite a few months now (from last Spring until this Fall), the 2 parent plants still not produce any root yet, one of them had only 1 new bulb but the size is just 1/3 of its parent. But all of keikei still the same, they don't seem to grow anything.

My question is what should I do now to help them get more roots and produce more new bulb? I think I can not feed fertiliser for them until they have some strong roots. am I right?

Please give me some advice, much appreciated!

I am not sure what they look like, but I would most definitely fertilize them. I would put some in a fert. dissolved in water and spray the roots-medium a bit to give them a boost. That is my 2 cents worth. Good luck and have faith!

bring them inside too, and give them a dry rest in winter, watering every 3 weeks, and JUST enough to wet the bark and nothing more.

Thanks Jordan, but if I don't water them often, their canes would be shrunken that I afraid they will.....

keep in mind Steven,that plants grow way slower in winter, so i wouldnt fertilize them until they have more roots, maybe in spring.

I have my den. kingianum on balcony now (for summer), and it starts to make new pseudobulbs and roots too. Also i have there den. berry oda and it has unbelivable roots now. They definetely likes warm during day time and cold at nights.
