I bought this today along with another Oncidium but can't find a lot of information or Brdsm. The pics I found online don't look anything like the flowers on mine.

Ooh I recently purchased one very similar! Brsdm = Brassidium, a cross between Brassia and Oncidium. You can find all the abbreviations here: RVO's Orchid Genus Listing. It's really handy list!
Thanks for the link! I have clicked on so many links I figured I had clicked them all lol. Mine must be mislabeled since if has listed 'Brdsm". The flowers are pretty much dead (hence it being only 10.00 at my local orchid nursery yesterday) so I hope it blooms for me next year.

I don't think yours was mislabeled, you've probably got a Brsdm. Gilded Urchin 'Halo' or 'Ontario'. I've seen others say to treat it like an Oncidium but if you're brand new to orchids that may not mean much. At least you know where to start searching for care tipsHope this helps! I hope some other senior members chime in on this

You are very correct, the label shows "Gilded Urchin Halo". I don't see that one in the Genus listing hmm. Thanks for the clarification. I went ahead and put it into a bigger pot with new bark since all the flower are drying up. Gosh, one day I hope to know as much as the rest of you!

Sorry. Let me clarify. My label is misprinted, It does say Gilded urchin Halo, Ontario. What is misprinted is "Brdsm" instead of "Brsdm" so the common name is correct but whatever you call "Brsdm' is labeled incorrectly.
Thanks again,
Miller
Gotchya. Make sure the pot isn't too big, orchids prefer to be more confined. Happy growing!

Looks like you got a Mother's Day leftover - isn't it great when you find deals like that?! Good luck - we look forward to seeing how it goes next time around.
That could be. I also bought a really nice Oncidium for 16.00 with a full bloom and a second spike! Yay
Lovely!! I very nearly bought one similar instead of the Brsdm
