Awesome! my parents leave me at home during phallie blooming season.....
When We are at ANY store my husband always tries to avoid the Garden/floral departments. He's smart, those take hours to get through if they have Any orchids. Then of coarse it takes time to decide which one I want. Hint: if it takes long enough OR I get one, put it back, pick another over and over my husband get a little impatient and I get 2!!! LOLOLOl
LOL- I'm guilty of this. Pick one up, stare at it, put it back. Pick another one up, stare at it, put it back. Pick first one up. Repeat. The store had mini phals sitting in water...and confession...I dumped all their water out in the other plants so they wouldn't sit there. (haha - blushing!) The one I ended up buying had only a few good roots left. I'm still hoping this one can be saved. Today, one of it's last buds bloomed![]()
Thats so funny! I do the same stuff. The so called "Florist" at the store sees me coming and starts tellin me what needs to be watered. I have explained to her over and over that they are drowning the orchids. Its cool that you take the sickly one and try to nurse it back to health! I hope you get many many more blooms in thanks for your kindness!
That is the nature of women..ha.ha
well im not allowed any, even if i have money, im told to save it for the volvo s40 that i want, or for uni. doesnt help the orchids are around 40NZD ea anyway
Ah yes, orchids have replaced shoe purchases and much more rewarding. - martha
Beautiful phals - better than shoes. Have you thought about the Ladies' Slipper orchids? Best of both worlds.
My grocery store carried the most hideous looking "dyed" orchids for Mother's Day! Couldn't find any I liked anywhere, so I got a beautiful bromiliad instead to add to my collection.
