I'd say you got your money's worth.![]()
Wow...me too! Very nice!
That's beautiful. What a bargain at $1.
Remember Gin that now that its so beautiful, it was never cheap. It was simply 'extremely inexpensive'. Another way of putting it, would be to say that you purchased a 'epiphyte in the rough'.AL

Assuming this is the awarded clone (and it certainly looks like it) the clone is listed by the AOS as "Chin Hua Splash" and has received an AM. Either the exhibitor or the AOS evidently got the clonal name wrong. There are a dozen or more awarded clones of various genera named "Chig Hua xxxx", and only one "Chin Hua xxxx". For those who care (and I have a lot of moments when I don't), the current genus is Cattleychea (Cattleya X Prosthechea)

Light green, cream color and red!
Interesting and showy combination.
I love it.
Oh Gin, what a beautiful orchid bloom. I love the vibrant magenta color next to the soft, pale green and cream. Bravo! What a stunner!
Cheers,
