This was repotting day - on the living room floor in my tiny apartment. We're going to move out one of our couches top make space for more orchids and bonsais!
Thought some of you might identify with the total confusion....

Oh yeah...those round table cloths; plastic on one side and fuzzy on the other, work great for this type of messy work. I am always amazed when I find pieces of bark under and behind furniture. It can just fly out of there some times. lol When it's too hot and I have repotting to do the table cloths come out. Looks like you have a nice collection there. The bromeliads are pretty. I had a big plastic pot of them given to me a few years back. By the time we moved from the other house my orange tree had at least a hundred of them growing under it. When they all bloomed it was so pretty. The neon pink and orange in this one was in mine with some red as well.
Funny you should notice the tillandsias - I love them, although I've had some orchid snobs put up their noses at them. They actually have some beautiful specimens of them in the Atlanta Orchid Conservatory right now - they fill in with broms a lot when the orchids aren't much in flower. And yes - there were bark and styrofoam bits all over the place for at least a week afterward - but I had a blast. Your orange tree must have been fabulous!
Very beautiful collection you have Maura ! Your repotting reminds me of the time when I have to pack all my plants in my apartment for their flight to India, I have a lot of peat, styrofoam and LECA waiting for me when I come back from India as the repotting is last moment LOL
I can't believe it, I think they are plain jealous LOL !
Nice going Maura. Love those paphs. Tillandsias and I don't get on very well. They thumb their noses at me and and my grow area and leave for the happy hunting grounds after a short sojourn.
Everything looks so healthy, Maura. Congratulations on the orchid repotting!
cheers,

Thanks everyone - I have a couple of photos from last night that just show you how much help y'all have been to me. Can't thank you enough - keep a look out and I'll post as soon as I can - look for them in the Orchid Societies Forum.

I don't know how I missed this thread. Lovely blooms. I am a bromeliad lover in general...and love tillandsias.
Whew!! That was quite a day, I guess!
I missed this post myself. How many did you repot? They all look happy and healthy. Now if they would learn to clean up their own mess. 'Chids' today! I swear if you don't teach them manners now they may 'grow up' to be nothing but vain and self centered. Then they will want to show off and bloom all the time!AL
