    Cool First Orchid Mount Made

Ive been looking for mounts whenever i go for a walk in the woods. Ive finally decided what i wanted to mount and which piece of wood would look best...oh man..im so picky sometimes. Here is a picture of my Encyclia tampensis that i just mounted. Hope it works out. The second picture were bought mounted. Hormidium rhynchophorum and a Dendrobium tuananhii. Im planning on mounting a couple more. Im really starting to like the look and culture of mounts. Not to mention that every time a storm comes my pots fall over. With these they just sway in the wind. The trick will be bringing them in this winter..hmmmm...

Thanks everyone...especially Bruce and Branka..you make me feel well trained..lol....it can be a little challenging getting the moss and plants tied on. Especially when you have a hook already on the mount...haha ooops.....non the less i tried to use the littlest bite of fishing line. I swear some mounts ive seen have a whole role of thread on there..lol..for some odd reason it doesn't suit my eyes. I think eventually when the plant grabs the mount, ill cut off the line slowly. More natural looking i suppose. Ill have to post a couple of others that I've been working on too.
Thanks for the compliments...........I learn from the best
