Brassidium new growth/roots

It's been a long time since I posted!

So, my Brsdm has been putting out lots of new growth since the last spike kind of blasted. I've repotted into a slightly larger s/h pot as well. I noticed the other day that one of the new growths has tons of healthy roots, but the actual growth is yellowing. Should I be worried? I think even the pot I have it in will be outgrown soon, but I read they like to be very confined. Everything else looks healthy.

On another note: all my other orchids are doing super awesome! New p-bulbs on the zygo, tons of healthy roots on the phals, new leaves on the paphs, and two new canes on the dendro. The den keiki that I repotted is doing questionably, but I think I've been keeping it too moist. Even the nepenths I have is doing better since i put it in boggier conditions. Now I'm hoping they all bloom when they're supposed to!

It would help to see a pcture, so as to understand how far it is "yellowing"

You know, I forgot my phone camera started working again lol. Here's a shot.
I had pulled out a few rotting leaves from the center as it grew, and now I see it's just yellowing from the bottom up. I believe the brown oval spots are from it resting against the ceramic pot I had it in before I repotted.

Those brown bits are the bracts enclosing the growth, not leaves, so don't worry about the colour.
But it looks as though you have had something taking a nibble - maybe a slug or snail. Try a visit at dusk with a torch , and you may find it coming back for more !

It's indoors, and I haven't noticed any critters around. That bit was pressed against a clay pot as it was growing, so I am pretty sure it's just from that. Everything else looks healthy I'm super excited for new p-bulbs!

OK but remember that at some stage the plant may have been ex[osed to the risk of slugs, and they can live in the bottom of the pot.

True! I will keep my eye out, so far no sign though.

Nothing to worry about there, but I would repot and get those new roots growing into the medium.

That was my other concern orcholoic. I just repotted it and didn't expect to see that new growth where it is. I have read that brsdm like to be tightly potted, but I guess maybe this new pot isn't quite big enough.

When I took it out of the original pot I wasn't even able to break up the roots to pull out old media, it was like one solid root ball in the shape of the plastic pot. I was afraid to cut up the roots to get into the middle. Any advice?

If you are growing in S/H i dont see why you would need to disturb the roots if the medium you are using is not supposed to brake down at all. If i were you i would take it off the pot and put it in a new bigger pot and just filled it up with more medium. GOod luck
