I bought it with a label proclaiming it to be an Aerides species, at a time when I was starting to get into the minor vandaceous orchids; with a bit more experience I doubt it is an aerides at all even before it flowered. The leaves are too thin . The flower is about one inch across, with a curiously cocked up nectary spur ( reminds me of a wrens tail - but I think that Troglodytes troglodytes troglodytes to give it the proper latin name - for our smallest bird in Uk ! - may not be known to many here. Looks as though it is not essentially single flowered, there is a bud or an aborted bud to be see further back along the stem.

Now identified as Angraecum huntleyoides - thanks to Roy.

Geoff, I reckon this could be a form of Angraecum huntleyoides.

Thanks for that Royout ; I agree that it is in sub-tribe Angraecina , I will check this suggestion. Reminiscent of Huntleyoides I can certainly believe as the fan of leaves is very muh like that kind of growth.
