I saw one on a website that was more sunset tones and then on another website one looked just like yours. They could get darker if they just opened.
Gorgeous blooms, very unusual for a Blc. they look very waxy and with great texture and good petal form. No wonder just checked on the RHS register, it is a direct offspring of Cattlianthe Chocolate drop. Now it seems that the colour is completely masked in this form. Great cross.

This plant is (Blc. Xanthette x C. Chocolate Drop) and was registered in 1987. Xanthette 'Chartreuse', probably an accidental tetraploid, was the center of this vendor's yellow Cattleya breeding program, with Blc. Fortune, Blc Goldenzelle, Blc. Golden Galleon, Blc. Ports of Paradise, and many others among it's progeny. In general, Chocolate Drop is not dominant for red color, although I believe there is probably prejudice toward red in those plants that are selected for mericloning. The effect of the Xanthette parent is seen in your flower in the increased width of flower segments and color. The clone 'Regal Jewels' was awarded HCC and AM from the AOS. As awarded: "Twenty-six flowers on two inflorescences; sepals and petals chartreuse overlaid brick red marginally, heavier on petals; lip yellow, red distally, throat striated red proximally; column white; substance very firm; texture waxy." So, actually you should expect your flowers to be greener. Probably a difference in light levels. (Sorry I got carried away.... the generic names have changed; I just didn't have the energy to get into that too.)

Regardless of the brilliance of the yellow, it is a lovely orchid bloom. Love the cluster of blooms on this plant.
cheers,
