I purchased this one in the spring. I never expected it to put on the show it is giving me. It has three blooms, two bud clusters, and two more sheaths developing. I love the color and form and the scent is wonderful. A nice strong floral scent that lasts all day. These flowers have been out for a week . The photos capture the colors pretty well.

Now you have a C. labiata var. rubra in your collection.
Var. rubra is determent by the dark magenta lip color without the white spots at the side lobs and the dark pink petals and sepals.
Your plant shows all the requirement to be a truth C. labiata var. rubra.

Further the flower quality (which includes lip size, the symmetry and the largeness of the petals and sepals) can be considered good for this variety.
