    Default First Kiss Hibiscus

I usually don't get too excited over a hibiscus, but this one really caught my eye, flower spans 8 inches. Hope you enjoy, It is Yellow, white, and Red. It's name is First Kiss and that probably because the the red center.

I'd say 4 colors, Carol -- yellow, white, pinkish, and red. This really is an interesting flower. I love that wide yellow picotee and the pale/less saturated ring of pigment surrounding the red bullseye.

Carol is quite right, Jonada. You would have to grow this one as a potted plant as it would never survive our winters. Too bad the winter hardy hibiscus rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) doesn't come in such colors.

I think this one I'm going to put in in a pot, to bring it in for the frosty nights. They come back after a frost but sure wouldn't take any snow Daethen. Thanks

Thanks, the bad thing with hibiscus is the blooms only last one day, the good thing is the blooms just keep opening every day.

Unfortunately, that does seem to be typical of all hibiscus whether tropical or the winter hardy species. But, as you said, they do keep pumping out the blooms -- as long as the temps stay high and they get plenty of sun.
