Cattleya intermedia var. marginata 'Dani'

Cattleya intermedia var. marginata has the lip's magenta color on the whole margin of the side lobes while the species type form has the magenta color only at the lip's frontal lobe.

It must be the Cattleya intermedia orchid time of the year!! So many beautiful blooms of either pure Cattleya intermedia or a hybrid of it recently.

Please, could you explain the difference between "marginata" and "orlata" ? This flower looks like my Orlata 'Rio'.

Var. marginata:
The magenta color follows the whole margin of the side lobes until the side lobes meet sepals and petal.

Var. orlata:
The magenta color on the side lobes doesn't follow the margin until the end.
