catasetum denticulatum

first came with two buds, very little root and the entire plant seems like to fall off the pot. re potted the plant, after two months later send out the second spike and this time with 8 bulbs. flower size slightly over an inch, both width and height.

lets do some maths, first time 2 buds, the second time 8buds (ie. 2x4=8) so the next time would be 8 x 4 - 32 budSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.....ROFL

Ian this is very pretty species I like it maybe we can exchange the plant, my catasetum right now is in spike, bought a couple of years ago very expensive (rm 100) still not sure the ID and the labellum is having 1 pair of long fang.

sure , would like to see the pic of your ctsm too especially those fangs. but ctsm species that cost rm100 is considered average only......i had several that cost more than this. but i am afraid the exchange got to wait for about a year and half to two for i had three more "orders" to meet for the denticulatum. some of my orchid fan had booked for the division. but i am looking forward for the exchange. thanks

Many thanks. that is the reason i am still keeping this old antique handphone of mine, got a SLR but in my hands, they are just nothing more than a normal digital camera. Somehow this particular handphone with only 3.2 megapixel can produce excellent photo for me.
