Clowesia spike with roots?

I have kept a close eye on this plant lately. I thought these were new growths developing. Now I think they are spikes. They are elongating, turning down, and are taking on a pinkish color. When I got it, it had a new growth, but didn't develop roots until it was a couple of inches tall. I read elsewhere that these often grow roots from their spikes. Anyone else see this happen?

Yes mine also had similar thing after the leafless then the spike emerge from the base of pseudobulb.Good luck.

Thanks for the FAST response Zain! Glad to know I am not imagining things! With any luck, I will have three spikes...I did everything imaginable to encourage fast, huge growth over the summer and was rewarded with a pb three times larger than the previous five. I already lost one potential spike. Low humidity is a pain. So, I've been misting the others regularly.
