Hey, following up on an old thread: I have a Spiranthes aestivalis - which likes to grow in moors, and "poor" soil. Does anyone know if I need to fertilize it?

Can't help you with your Q, Alfred, but it would likely be best to give your Q its own post on the culture section.

We have one growing in the boggy bits of the New Forest where I lkive - I think it is Spiranthus spiralis. looks just like this, if you have a good camera or a good magnifying glass.
What do you mean by too tall, anyway ?
Quote - The inflorescence can be very small (as little as 50mm high-) unquote...
50mm for those unfamiliar with the metric system is two inches.
