Cool Back from holiday to my suprise...

Just got home from a ten day holiday, was thinking about my orchids the whole time. I gave them a good feed before I left but because it's summer here was worried they might dehydrate a bit instead a found lots of new growth, there are new leaves

I wonder if it was because my room was shut there was a soar in temperature that the Phals kicked into action or was it meant to happen anyway ... i guess sometimes not seeing them for a while you will find more changes... will keep an update whether that is a spike or not

Kind of makes you wonder if you should leave more often, doesn't it?

While that could be a new spike emerging in that last photo, it looks more like a root tip to me.

It is sometimes said that orchids thrive on neglect ! But its not a policy I could ever adopt deliberately.
