Gorgeous! I like the hanging oncidium looking ones...the baggie type thing is an interesting idea.
Very interesting pots and mountings.
They look amazing!! Do you know where can I see orchids (botanic gardens, markets, shops, etc) in Hong Kong? I am going on holiday next month to Taiwan to go to the TIOS but am stopping over for 6 days in HK. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Definitely not to be missed is the Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Gardens in the New Territories. You might even meet up with Stefan Gale ( a Briton), the man in charge of orchids and co-author of the definitive book on HK orchid species 'The Wild Orchids of Hong Kong' .BTW he was kind enough to present me with a signed copy of the book. I won't be surprised if you run into him at the TIOS as he is very much involved in the coservation of orchids of Southern China. Another interesting place to visit is the Flower Market in Mongkok.
Hello the photos were taken at " kadorie farm " lots of orchids there be sure to take the bus ride to see the Phal display on the mountain , also if you're into seeing lots of Phals on sell head to " flower market " near Mongkok such a shame you can't bring anything back they are cheap as chips!
