    Default Bulbophyllum Elizabeth Ann

Lovely Elizabeth is getting her blooms chopped today as they are beginning to go...but EA decided to begin opening this morning! So happy to have something to put into my entryway window frame! The blooms are much longer. I took a pic with my hand to show the length. Please no making fun of my pudgy fingers!

Mine stays outdoors under shadecloth in the summer and gets watered TONS! It also gets a big temp drop at night. I'm in a valley twenty miles off the coast north of San Francisco. Midsummer highs are usually around 80-85f with nights between 55-60f. I bring it in late fall and put it under lights. The temps are not much different, but I water a bit less...actually letting it dry occasionally. We have no a/c and only use the heating when nights drop to around 30. Bulbophyllum rothschildianum is a parent of this hybrid and it's a cooler growing bulbo from what I understand.Posted via Mobile Device
