Fall is here , time to tackle the Phals

My digital thermometer recorded that the temps are dropping to a 13C at nightfall hopefully this will expose 3 of my Phals which are not in spike to perform they have all been putting out new leaves over summer . I will try the epsom salt fertilising for the next 3 waterings . Does daylength also start the spiking of Phals????

I believe phal orchid spikes that start in the fall are from temperature drops.

I've read articles that say that lower temperatures encourage spiking and not the length of the daylight hours.
