Love the Brassavola's!
Mabuhay!
I love the blooms but i like more the fragrance. congrats
I like shape!
Comparing to nodosa, what's the size of the flower? Is it also only fragrant in dark?
Yes, this species is fragrant at night.
Allen Black and another grower told me that it's now the blooming season for B. tuberculata (for Kew it's the same species than B. perrinii, but many growers describe differences between them - blooming season, growth, leaves...-). For me and others, B. perrinii bloom in July-early August. And the 3rd close species, flagellaris, bloom in Fall.
My tuberculata flowers are 7cm wide / 8cm high. I'll tell you for perrinii in July but I think that this is the same size.
Lovely flowers, I love Brassavola.
Very nice species !
Very elegant!
Lovely Brassavola perrinii bloom, Connie.
cheers,
