Got another one. It was potted in soil and is in horrifying condition. I snipped the spikes and dead roots. There were some yellow (with black on them) but firm roots, and I cut them anyway. Was that bad? Should I have left them on? Would they have recovered? I'm worried that I was an idiot by cutting them.
It's leaves are very floppy but still green, a new leaf is growing, and it's put out three tiny new root buds. I put Daconyl all over the bottom part of the crown and such and I'm letting it sit and dry, then I'll rinse it off.
After it's rinsed I'll pot it and bag it.
Good?
I wouldn't have gotten it if it hadn't been a Phal Brother Sara Gold that smells divine (and on sale for 14 instead of 22). I'm hoping it will live to give me some of those stunning blooms.
