Weird growings on...

I mentioned earlier this year that I had an amazing number of new growths on my Catts. Well, now some of those growths are starting to mature and I am seeing a weird trend. So far two different plants have had one of their new growths turn out to be 2 leaved. These are plants that do are not normally bi-leafed on each bulb. I thought I was getting sheaths, but they were extra leaves.... Yet each of these plants has put out multiple growths and the other growths appear normal???!?!?!? Too much nitrogen in my fertilizer considering I switched to a higher light growing area? Spontaneous genetic mutation to new species??? Or maybe that keiki spell.....hmmmmm where did I put that spellbook..

I warned you to be carefull with spell ingredient substitutions...

Well, apart from the fertilizer thing you mentioned, ie if you switched then it might be it... the only other thing I can think of is "make sure you read the spellbook the right way up"

they will do crazy things sometimes. unifoliates with 2 leaves, bifoliates with one. seems most of this business happens as a young plant is maturing. i wouldn't worry about it unless it persists, and only if it's at the expense of blooms.

I just repotted a Catt. that has both uni. and bif. leaves it is an old one and has always been confused . ... Diane we told you to not mix in toxic waste with your Fert. it will not create 6 foot tall blooms lolol . Gin
